Industar-26M

It seems, that KMZ has released a prototype Industar-26M lens for SLR cameras initially. Very few samples released in 1955. Focal length - 5 cm, aperture range f2.8 - f16. Focusing range from 0.5 m to infinity. Number of elements/groups: 4/3.  Angular field - 45º. Zenit (M39) mount.  An ultra rare to find lens.

Lens #550005 opposite from private collection in China.

Industar-26M prototype lens  #550005 (SLR).

PT4305. Prototype Industar-26M (or mysterious "Industar-26") lens for rangefinder cameras already. Very few samples released in 1955-1957. Focal length - 5 cm, aperture range f2.8 - f22. Focusing range from 1 m to infinity. Number of elements/groups: 4/3.  Angular field - 45º. Zorki (M39) mount.  An ultra rare to find lens.

Sample opposite scanned from Soviet Cameras Catalogue (1969).

PT4305 - Industar-26M prototype lens.

PT4310. Short-run preseries lens, released by KMZ in 1957. Seems to be a further evolution of PT4305 lens. Signally changed body design, faceplate of the lens becoming black. Approximately 500 items released in 1957. Very rare to find nowadays.

PT4310 - Industar-26M  #570183.

PT4320. Seems to be an earliest version of regular Industar-26M, released by FED in 1957. Slightly different body finish, big markings on the faceplate. 6-digits serial number without date prefix already, starting from #000001. Metering scale: M1; 1.2; 1.5; 1.7; 2; 2.5; 3; 4; 5; 7; 10; 20; ∞. An earliest so far known lens has s/n #000003 (private coll.).

PT4320 - Industar-26M  #000144.

PT4322. An ultra rare version to find. Seems to be prepared for Korean market in 1958-1959. White faceplate, no serial number at all. More informtaion is needed!

Thanks to Alexander Nezvanov (Moscow) for donation!

PT4322 - Industar-26M lens.

PT4325. Very regular version of Industar-26M lens. Identical to early PT4320, but with smaller markings on the faceplate already. Appr. 725.000 copies released in 1957- 1959. Please look at the comparison picture between PT4310 (KMZ) and PT4325 (FED) below.

PT4325 - Industar-26M  #016019.

PT4330. Identical to PT4325, but with less wide metering scale's disk (see comparison picture below). Quite common to find.

PT4330 - Industar-26M  #703080.

PT4335. Very regular version of Industar-26M lens. Focusing lever replaced by a large textured ring. Appr.  375.000 copies released in 1959- 1961 (PT4335 + PT4340 +PT4345). An earliest so far known lens has s/n #725823 (SovietCams).

PT4340. Lens identical to PT4335, but with wider aperture settings disk. Known lens has s/n #776219 (SovietCams).

PT4345. Lens identical to PT4335, but with narrow aperture settings disk. Known lens has s/n #941975 (SovietCams).

PT4335 - Industar-26M  #725823.

PT4350. Less common to find lens. Similar to PT4325 or PT4330, but without focusing lever already. An earliest so far known lens has s/n #618193 (SovietCams).

PT4355. An unique prototype version of Industar-26M lens. Very few samples were released for prototype "ZARYA-3" camera (never produced). Lens #997723 from Yuriy Davydenko (Ukraine) collection.

PT4355 - Industar-26M  prototype lens  #997723.

PT4350 - Industar-26M  #858404.

PT4360. Identical to PT4335, but with new lens markings already. "Industar-26M" shortened to "I-26M", "2.8/52" instead of "1:2.8 F=5cm". No more "No" prefix in serial number (see picture below). An earliest so far known lens has s/n #1111667 (D.Waumans coll.).

PT4365. Identical to PT4360, but with new metering scale, which reminds me another aperture settings: M1; 1.4; 2; 2.8; 4; 5.6; 8; 11; 22; ∞. An earliest so far known lens has s/n #1182524 (Kelvin James coll.).

PT4365 - Industar-26M  #1183320.
