Kiev-18

  

Prototype camera, conceived by famous Chief Designer L. Korchnoj and released by Arsenal from 1979 (1978?) to 1993. Arsenal's responce to LOMO's "Almaz" cameras, developed the same period. 35mm SLR with fully or semi-autimatic operation. Totally redesigned black finished body. Electronic shutter, with shutter speed dial on top of the body.  Speeds in auto mode: 4s - 1/1000s + B, sync at 1/125s. Speeds in semi-auto mode: 1s-1/1000s + B. Electronic selftimer. Delivered with Volna-4N 1.4/50mm lens. Motor drive is aviable, at least 3 versions of motor drive are known to exist. At least 6 versions of prototype Kiev-18 camera are known to exist in collections (see information below).
