| | The Horizon 202 is in production since ca. 1989. It is a successor of the Horizont (note the ‘t’) which was produced from ca. 1967-1973. Although both cameras look quite different – the Horizont's housing made of metal and the Horizon's housing made of ABS – their internals are very similar. The Horizon 202 was designed by P. A. Tikhomirov, and the whole project was led by N. Tarassov.
The camera project started under the label “Technopan” and the first models were named “Zenit” and “Horizont” like the predecessor model. These early models had 8 speeds from 1/2s to 1/250 sec in contrast to generations 1992 and later, named “Horizon 202” (without ‘t’). The later models lack the 1/30 sec and 1/15 sec, but give a more even exposure (source: http://www.pauck.de). | Produced: c.1989 Name: "Горизонт-202", "Horizont-202", „Horizon-202“.
